One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
This year, I’m taking part in the WA Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society and support Australians doing it tough.
For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside to gain a small insight into the harsh realities faced by people experiencing homelessness every day. While one night can never truly replicate the ongoing challenges many people face, it is an opportunity to raise awareness, start conversations, and most importantly, raise funds that can make a real difference.
I’m proud to be representing the Department of Corrective Services in this initiative. Through my role, I see firsthand the impact homelessness can have on individuals, families, and the wider community, and I want to do what I can to help break that cycle.
Any contribution, big or small, will help. While a donation of $100 can make a significant impact, even $10 can help support people in need and bring me closer to my fundraising target.
