Safety, stability and a pathway forward

Your support will strengthen Vinnies homelessness services across NSW providing essentials such as food and shelter, while connecting people with housing, healthcare, employment and community support. By responding early and standing alongside people through crisis, these services prevent hardship from escalating and help people rebuild with dignity, sustain tenancies and stay connected.

A warm welcome and meaningful connection

Across Greater Sydney and targeted regional areas, Vinnies Vans bring practical help and human connection to communities at greatest risk. Last year, the service assisted 166,000 people and provided more than 200,000 meals at over 100 stops across NSW. Your support will sustain safe, welcoming spaces where people can receive essentials, referrals, companionship and regular connection that reduces isolation and strengthens belonging.

Healthcare for those most vulnerable

Last year, the Matthew Talbot Hostel Health Clinic supported 613 people through more than 9,800 appointments, providing accessible care to people facing significant barriers to good health. Your fundraising will help cover medical supplies and nurses' wages so this vital work can continue. Located within the hostel, the clinic recognises that poor physical and mental health can be both a cause and consequence of homelessness and that quality healthcare is a right for everyone.

Homelessness and financial hardship are affecting more people across the ACT and surrounding regions than ever before. Funds raised through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout help provide emergency relief, homelessness support and pathways to a more stable future for people doing it tough in our community.

Thanks to the commitment and generosity of local leaders and donors, the 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout raised $1,011,114 across the ACT and surrounds, helping ensure Vinnies can continue delivering vital support where it is needed most.

Vinnies Night Patrol: A Lifeline on Canberra's Streets

In the past year, Vinnies Night Patrol delivered around 24,000 free meals and thousands of meaningful contacts with people experiencing hardship. Your support helps keep this essential service on the road every night, providing food, connection, compassion and practical support when it is needed most.

Vinnies Street to Home and Specialist Homelessness Services

Funds raised through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout support specialist homelessness programs that help people move towards stable housing and reconnect with essential services. This includes practical assistance such as mobile phones with credit, enabling people sleeping rough to stay in touch with housing providers, health services and community support networks.

Emergency Assistance Across the ACT & Surrounds

Your participation helps provide emergency relief to individuals and families at risk of homelessness, including food, clothing, household goods and financial assistance to help keep a roof over their heads – all delivered through Vinnies case workers and local Conference volunteer members.

In 2025-26, your support helped us answer more than 37,896 calls to the Vinnies Emergency Helpline, ensuring people across the ACT and surrounding regions could access help when they needed it most.

Building Stronger Families, Stronger Futures Across Queensland

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout continues to bring Queensland's business and community leaders together to help build stronger futures for Queensland children, families and individuals experiencing hardship.

In 2026, a remarkable $3,030,888 was raised across Queensland, with $2,112,011 raised through the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast events and a further $918,877 raised on the Gold Coast. These funds will provide essential support to individuals and families in need while creating pathways to long-term stability and housing security.

"For many people, a home is more than a roof over their head. It's the foundation for stronger families, safer childhoods and brighter futures," CEO Joe Duskovic said.

"The support shown through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout helps us walk alongside people through hardship, providing not only practical assistance but hope, dignity and stability for the next generation of Queenslanders."

Funds raised through the Brisbane CEO Sleepout will directly support Vinnies Queensland's ambitious 500 Homes program, helping deliver safe, secure and affordable housing for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. With 153 homes already under construction and the first residents expected to move in during late 2026, the initiative is helping transform lives by pairing stable housing with wrap-around support that empowers people to rebuild their futures.

Meanwhile, funds raised through the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast events will directly support local Conference works, providing practical assistance including food, clothing, household essentials, bill relief and emergency support to individuals and families in need across their communities.

As cost-of-living pressures continue to impact households across Queensland, the need for support has never been greater. Every dollar raised through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout helps ensure vulnerable Queenslanders have access to the essentials they need today while creating opportunities for a more secure tomorrow.

Together, we are helping more Queensland children, families and individuals build safer, brighter and more secure futures.

In the last financial year, our Society:

Supported more than 249,000 Queenslanders
Provided more than 208,000 nights of accommodation
Directly supported more than 1,600 Queenslanders experiencing homelessness to secure sustainable housing

$918,878 Raised Across the Gold Coast

Turning One Night of Sacrifice into Years of Support

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout has now raised more than $6 million on the Gold Coast, turning one night of solidarity into lasting support and tangible housing solutions for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

In 2026, our Gold Coast community achieved a record-breaking result, raising an incredible $918,877 — the highest total in the event's history on the Gold Coast!

The impact of this generosity can already be seen across our region. In Arundel, a former Vinnies administration building has been transformed into six secure homes for mature-age women.

In Nerang, construction is nearing completion on our largest local housing project to date, delivering 60 new social and affordable homes. Construction is expected to be completed in December 2026, with the first residents anticipated to move in by February 2027.

And we're not stopping there.

Funds raised through the 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout will help support our next housing project in the northern corridor of the Gold Coast, continuing to turn funds raised through the Sleepout into long-term housing solutions for our community.

The need has never been more apparent. The Gold Coast is now Australia's most expensive city to rent a home, with the median asking rent reaching $900 per week in the June 2026 quarter. For individuals and families already struggling with the cost of living, housing security is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.

"Thanks to the ongoing commitment of Gold Coast business and community leaders who support the CEO Sleepout, we are able to turn generosity into meaningful, long-term outcomes for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity," said Kris Martin, Vinnies South Coast Executive Officer.

Every person who sleeps out, fundraises, donates or supports the campaign becomes part of that impact.

The funds raised from the 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout are channelled towards each of Vinnies SA's homelessness support services. The Society will continue important work to meet the growing demand for support services across South Australia.

This assistance is provided to people seeking help via our financial assistance program, our Fred's Van meal service, guests who are exiting Crisis Accommodation and other referring services, such as connecting people to the relevant health, wellbeing and financial services to facilitate a return to society with independence.

With over 55,000 instances of support and over 21,000 visits in the last financial year, our team is working towards the delivery of even greater support in the year ahead. This will continue to positively impact people who can't afford the basics by providing emergency financial aid, food, clothing, petrol, rent and bills support and other material aid.

Our network of over 2500 dedicated Vinnies Volunteers reaches out to people in every corner of the State to support people who are at risk of homelessness & experiencing financial hardship.

Thanks to the commitment of 357 Victorian business and community leaders, the 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout raised $1,883,639.57 to support women, children and people who identify as LGBTQIA+ escaping domestic and family violence across Victoria.

Funds raised will help strengthen and grow VincentCare Victoria (VCV), including supporting the build of new accommodation for up to 20 families each year. Families will also receive ongoing wrap-around support from specialist VincentCare Victoria teams, helping them to heal, rebuild and flourish after experiencing violence.

Domestic and family violence is now the number one reason people seek homelessness support in Australia. In Victoria, 20% of women and children fleeing DFV are not provided with emergency accommodation.

For many women and children, leaving an unsafe home can mean facing impossible choices about where to go next. Access to safe accommodation, specialist support and a pathway forward can change everything.

"Women's homelessness doesn't look the way most people expect. It hides in cars, on couches, in unsafe temporary arrangements – and because it's hidden, it's easier to miss and easier to underfund" - St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria Group CEO | Charlie Spendlove.

VCV is one of Victoria's largest providers of domestic and family violence services. Its specialist teams provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, including family violence refuge and medium-term accommodation, crisis response, case management, specialist children's support, financial counselling and more.

The funds raised through the CEO Sleepout will help VCV sustain, strengthen and expand these essential services, supporting more women and children to find safety, stability and a pathway forward.

The 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout raised a total of $130,288 in the Northern Territory. These funds support our programs and services from Darwin to Alice Springs, helping our teams to meet the needs of people experiencing hardship in our community.

Emergency Relief Services

Supporting people at risk of homelessness & experiencing financial hardship. Vouchers for clothes, food, fuel and grocery items, bus tickets, assistance with Telstra and utility bills, assistance with the cost of prescription medication, referrals to short-term or emergency accommodation, and household items, furniture and whitegoods.

Disaster Relief Services

Cyclone evacuation support is part of the Territory Natural Disasters Response Team.

Home Visitation Services

Special support from our Volunteer Members, the hand of friendship with emotional and spiritual support.

Homelessness Support Services

Providing the basics to restore confidence, pride, and give a sense of belonging. Operating showers, laundry for loads of washing, meals, phone charging, day beds, BBQ’s, art and activities days, Services Australia and other organisations operating on site, and a safe and welcoming place off the streets.

Homeless Outreach Van

Mobile food and support service that travels to key areas in the Greater Darwin Region to feed hungry Territorians.

Housing and Hostels Support Services

A safe place to get back on their feet. Vinnies purchases essentials for new residents and they take these items with them when they move on to permanent housing. Essentials like: bed, linen and pillow, fridge, cupboard, desk and chair.

Here's how the funds raised will make a lasting difference to young West Australians experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Passages Youth Engagement Hubs – creating safety, stability and pathways forward

A significant portion of funds raised will help sustain and strengthen our Passages Youth Engagement Hubs. Located in Perth and Peel our Hubs provide safe, youth-focused spaces where young people can access practical assistance, advocacy, early intervention and connections to specialist services. For many, Passages is the first step away from crisis and towards safety, stability and a more secure future.

Demand for support continues to grow, particularly in the Peel region, where the Hub has outgrown its current premises. A portion of the funds raised will support a detailed scoping project to identify the best pathway towards securing a fit-for-purpose facility.

Compass Outreach Program – staying connected when young people need it most

The Compass Outreach Program, is an intensive targeted outreach and case-management program run through Passages for young people who may struggle to access or remain engaged with mainstream services.

Compass takes support beyond the walls of the Passages Hubs, meeting young people where they are and providing the consistent, trusted relationships needed to keep them connected. The program helps young people navigate complex service systems and build pathways into safe housing, education, employment, specialist services and longer-term support.

Some funding will also provide flexible brokerage assistance tailored to each young person's circumstances. This may include suitable clothing, TAFE or training registration costs, and essential technology such as a laptop or phone for work, education or accessing services.

Across Tasmania, more people than ever are experiencing homelessness and disadvantage. As demand for support grows, so too does the need for services providing immediate assistance while helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors and supporters of the 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout, Vinnies Tasmania can continue responding where the need is greatest.

Funds raised help keep our mobile food vans on the road, supporting more than 30,000 people across Tasmania each year. Through Loui's Van in Hobart and Vinnies Vans in Launceston and on the North West Coast, people receive more than a meal. They find a welcoming place where compassion and connection can become the first step towards accessing broader support.

Funds raised also strengthens Bethlehem House and Amelie House, providing safe accommodation and personalised support for Tasmanians experiencing homelessness. These services offer shelter, stability, case management and the opportunity to move towards secure, long-term housing.

Importantly, these funds enable Vinnies to respond to individuals and families seeking emergency assistance statewide, including food, fuel, utility and rent support and essential household items.

The impact extends well beyond Hobart, reaching communities across Launceston, the North West Coast and regional Tasmania, where demand continues to increase. Every dollar raised through the CEO Sleepout helps ensure Vinnies can continue to provide practical assistance, restore dignity, strengthen connection and offer hope to Tasmanians facing some of life's toughest challenges.
