Help me make my eighth sleepout count.

I keep doing this because the issue of homelessness stays with me long after the night ends.

During past sleepouts, I’ve spoken with people who previously had steady jobs and stable lives until one setback changed everything. Those conversations are a reminder of how fragile security can be, and how vital community support is when things fall apart.

Sleeping outside for one night doesn’t compare to the true reality of being homeless, but it does help shine a light on this important issue.

I’m asking for your support because the work of Vinnies matters. Donations fund meals, shelter, support and pathways forward, and they reach people at a time when hope can feel very distant.

It's clear that things are pretty tough for so many at the moment, especially with all the global unrest and its knock-on effects hitting households and businesses. Please try to imagine how much harder it is for those already doing it really tough, with nowhere to call home, no safety net and no extra savings to fall back on during this harder period.
