One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
A couple of years ago, I went through something personally very challenging. At that time, I was simply trying to survive each day, with no clear vision of how or if I’d be able to steer myself out of a very dark look on my life.
Coming through that challenge gave me a completely different perspective my own challenges and they're weight in life. It reminded me how important gratitude really is, and just how fortunate I am. I’m lucky to be able to provide for my children, to have a safe and happy home for them and myself, meaningful work, and good people around me who care.
That experience is a big part of why I’m participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout in Sydney next month. For me, it’s not just about spending one night sleeping outdoors, it’s about raising awareness and funds for people who don’t have the security of a roof over their heads, a safe place to sleep, or the support that many of us take for granted every day. It’s also about giving time and support to help others doing it tough.
I want to use this opportunity to give back, show gratitude for what I have, and hopefully make even a small difference in someone’s life. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating $100 can make a huge difference to people who need it most.
