Participating in their 1st Vinnies CEO Sleepout

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference

Every night, over 122,000 Australians face the harsh reality of homelessness, unsure where they’ll sleep or how they’ll eat. While homelessness can be the result of various social, economic, and health-related factors (e.g. domestic & family violence, relationship breakdown, disability and ill health including mental health issues, substance abuse, poverty, lack of affordable & social housing, etc.), no one chooses to be homeless.

Homelessness affects people of all ages and demands our attention & support, and that's why I'm participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise funds for St Vincent de Paul Society who provides crucial assistance to Australians in need – including vulnerable children & young people (19%), those aged 55 & over (14%).

For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. With the ongoing increase in the cost of living and the inflation outlook in mind, I’d be grateful for any support you could provide as together we help break the devastating cycle of homelessness: prayers, helping spread the word, or financial donation through the link below. Any dollar you could spare means hope for those doing it tough and if you are in Australia, all donations of two dollars or more are tax deductible.

Thank you – God bless you & yours.

Best regards. Sud.
