This June, I’ll be taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout.
It’s something that’s been on my mind for a while. Through our work in architecture and design, we’re constantly thinking about homes — how they’re designed, how they function, and how people live in them. But the reality is, for a growing number of Australians, having a safe place to call home isn’t guaranteed.
We’re seeing more and more people doing it tough, and it’s clear this isn’t something any one industry can fix on its own. But that doesn’t mean we sit back. It means we do what we can.
What I respect about Vinnies is that they’re there when people need it most, but they also focus on helping people get back on their feet with longer-term housing and support. That kind of work makes a real difference.
Spending a night out in the cold is a small gesture, but it’s a chance to raise awareness and contribute in a practical way.
If you’re in a position to support, I’d really appreciate it.
