One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness — and it doesn't have to be that way.
I'm Sophia Arkinstall, Founder of AI & Society, and on 18 June 2026 I'll be sleeping out as part of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout at Roma St Parklands, Brisbane.
I spend my days building communities — bringing people together to navigate the future of technology and its impact on society. But community means nothing if we look away from those who are most vulnerable in our own backyards. Homelessness is one of Australia's most urgent and solvable challenges, and I believe leaders have a responsibility to show up — literally.
One night sleeping rough is uncomfortable. For too many Queenslanders, it's their reality every single night.
Every dollar raised goes toward building 500 homes for people experiencing homelessness in Queensland — 160 are already underway. Your donation moves that number forward.
