It’s Just One Night for Me - It’s Every Night for Thousands
On a cold winter’s night this June, I’ll be joining other business and community leaders for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout at the MCG. But this isn’t just about spending a night without comfort—it's about standing in solidarity with the more than 122,000 Australians who experience homelessness every night.
I’m taking part because I believe no one should have to sleep rough, couch surf, or live in unsafe conditions just to get by. As someone who leads a team, I know how important stability is for people to thrive. Homelessness doesn’t discriminate—it can happen to anyone. And often, it’s the result of circumstances beyond someone’s control.
By sleeping out, I’m not pretending to understand what it’s truly like to be homeless, but I am using my platform to help raise funds and awareness. The money raised goes directly to Vinnies services that provide food, accommodation, education, counselling and long-term support to break the cycle of homelessness.
If you can, please support me by donating. Every dollar makes a difference—and together, we can help give hope and dignity back to those who need it most
