Sleeping rough for one night is nothing. Sleeping rough every night is life changing.

Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. Imagine that in Canberra's winter? I cringe taking my bin out on cold nights, but I can return to the safety and warmth of home. For many, this is not an option and finding a safe, warm place to sleep is impossible for a growing number of Canberrans, particularly older women. 

This year I'm taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. 

As a volunteer with Orange Sky, I see firsthand disadvantage and homelessness are widespread in our community. We can do more. 

Each year I support others participating in the CEO Sleepout. Now it's my turn to participate and if you're able, I'm seeking your donation however large or small, to alleviate some of the helplessness our homeless and disadvantaged deal with on a nightly basis.
