Seeing It First-Hand: Why I’m Taking Part in the CEO Sleepout
One night sleeping outside does not compare to the reality faced by thousands of Australians experiencing homelessness every night — but it is a small action that can help raise awareness and support.
Working in the security industry, we often see the human side of this issue first-hand. Homelessness, hardship, mental health struggles, domestic violence, addiction, financial pressure, and people simply falling through the cracks are things our industry comes across more often than many people realise.
Security is not just about protecting buildings, assets, or property. At its core, it is also about people — safety, dignity, prevention, and community.
This year, I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to help raise funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society and support Australians who are doing it tough.
This is about doing something practical, not just talking about the issue.
Any donation, big or small, can help provide support, dignity, and a pathway forward for people who need it most.
If you can, please donate and help me reach my fundraising target. One night can make a difference.
