One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference

Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness, and for many in Queensland, the last stop before that happens is a caravan or camping park.

Through Caravan Parks Association of Queensland (CPAQ), I see firsthand how our members are increasingly providing a place of safety for families, singles and couples who have nowhere else to go. These are people pitching a tent or parking a van while they’re between homes, escaping crisis, or simply trying to stay off the street for as long as they can. Our parks are not just holiday destinations, they are often a temporary lifeline.

That reality is why I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout this year. For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside to help raise awareness of the growing housing crisis and to support the vital work of the St Vincent de Paul Society, who are on the front line every day supporting Australians in need.

To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Donating $100 can make a real difference to people who need it most and help ensure fewer Queenslanders are left with nowhere safe to sleep.
