Participating in their 1st Vinnies CEO Sleepout
People appreciate the little things done to help them. Lots of little things together does make a difference. Help me make some difference.
For the past 40 years I regularly saw poverty and homelessness. I’m retired now and would like to help make a difference. This year I'm taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, I'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
They say we live in a lucky country. In reality there are a lot of people, who for various reasons, don’t think that Australia is a lucky country. Homelessness is everywhere, not just in major cities, with more and more now appearing in rural and regional areas. Some are in this predicament through no fault of their own.
I am the current Master of Lodge Queanbeyan St. Andrew, and we have been helping several local charities with donations of funds and produce. I would also like to assist St. Vincent de Paul; they are active in Queanbeyan, but need your support. Help me help them support people less fortunate than others.
To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating $100 can make a huge difference to people who need it most.
