One night can’t fix homelessness — but it can help change a life.
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness, for many different reasons. Rising living costs, health challenges, job loss, family breakdown — and, in some cases, the need to escape domestic violence — can all lead to people losing safe, secure housing.
The link between domestic violence and homelessness is particularly close to my heart, which is why I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout this year. I’ll be sleeping outside for one night to step outside my comfort zone and help shine a light on the realities faced by people who don’t have the safety or stability many of us take for granted.
But awareness alone isn’t enough — practical support matters. The St Vincent de Paul Society provides real, on‑the‑ground help, from emergency accommodation to longer‑term support that helps people regain stability and dignity.
If you’re in a position to support my fundraising, I’d be incredibly grateful. Your donation — whether it’s $50, $100, or more — can make a tangible difference to someone doing it tough.
Thank you for helping me make this one night count.
