One Night Isn’t Much — But It Can Make a Real Difference Supporting Australians Experiencing Homelessness
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness but it doesn’t have to be that way.
This year, Riverwood Community Centre is supporting the St Vincent de Paul Society CEO Sleepout, an initiative that raises vital funds to assist Australians facing homelessness and financial hardship. The event brings together leaders from across the community sector to spend one night sleeping outdoors, raising awareness of the realities many people face every day.
As part of this effort, CEO Karl Saleh OAM will take part in the Sleepout, reflecting Riverwood Community Centre’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to practical, community-based solutions.
Funds raised through the campaign go directly towards providing emergency accommodation, food, and long-term support services. A contribution of $100 can make a meaningful difference to someone in need.
Support for this initiative helps break the cycle of homelessness and strengthens the collective response to one of Australia’s most pressing social challenges.
