From Policy to Pavement: Why I'm Taking Part
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. As CEO of Catholic Social Services Australia, I see firsthand through our members’ work across the country just how critical this issue has become. Our network of Catholic Social Services delivers homeless services in communities from coast to coast, and the need has never been greater.
That’s why on June 18, I’ll be participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout in Canberra. For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society’s vital work supporting Australians experiencing homelessness.
At Catholic Social Services Australia, safe, accessible, and affordable housing for all is at the heart of our advocacy. But advocacy alone isn’t enough – we need tangible support to help people in crisis right now. The funds raised through the CEO Sleepout provide emergency relief, support services, and pathways to stable housing for those who need it most.
I need your help to reach my fundraising target. A donation of $100 can make a real difference – providing emergency accommodation, meals, essential supplies, and support services that help break the devastating cycle of homelessness.
Will you join me in supporting this cause? Together, we can help ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
