It’s only one night, but it shines a light on a reality we can’t ignore.
As a Real Estate agent, I’m invited into people’s lives at some of their most vulnerable moments. Some are moving on, starting over, or sometimes, facing the reality of losing a place to call home. It’s a privilege, but it’s also a reminder that not everyone has the safety and stability so many of us take for granted.
At Netley Property, we see firsthand how important “home” really is. It’s more than four walls, it’s security, dignity, and a foundation for life and for too many Australians, that foundation simply isn’t there.
That’s why this year, I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to support the incredible work of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside not to compare, and not to pretend I understand the full experience but to stand in solidarity, raise awareness, and most importantly, raise funds for those doing it tough.
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness and it doesn’t have to be that way.
