Participating in their 1st Vinnies CEO Sleepout
One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness.
As a CEO in the aged care sector I want to highlight that older women have been recognised as the fastest growing group of homeless people in Australia. Shockingly about 240,000 women aged 55 or older and another 165,000 aged 45-54 are at risk of homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way.
This year I'm going to experience the Tasmanian winter like never before as I take part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money to support Australians in need. For one night, I'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. It would be fabulous if you could help me reach my target, by donating whatever you can. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to people who need it most.
So far this year I helped provide
Individual support programs
