One Night in the Cold to Help Thousands Find Warmth.

Each night that I go home to a warm bed and the comfort of my loved ones, I’m acutely aware that thousands of Australians do not have a safe place to sleep. Homelessness is not just a circumstance, it is an emotion, a fear, an uncertainty that no one should have to endure.

Last year, during my first Vinnies CEO Sleepout, I listened to courageous people share their lived experiences of homelessness. As the cold night settled like ice on top of my sleeping bag, I gained a small glimpse into a reality that so many face every single day. When the morning came and I returned to the arms of my family, I was reminded that this is a privilege not afforded to everyone.

At Francom, we see every day how financial hardship and debt can be the first steps toward homelessness. That’s why we remain committed to offering compassionate, realistic pathways to help people regain stability. And it’s why I am once again taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, because awareness isn’t enough. We must be proactive, not just reactive, if we truly want to break the cycle.

This year, my goal is to raise $35,000 to support essential services such as crisis accommodation, food, wraparound programs, and long‑term support. These are the foundations that help rebuild lives and prevent homelessness from re‑occurring.

But I can’t do it alone.
