A night outside to step back and think about homelessness
I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout this year. I know one night outdoors won’t replicate the reality of homelessness. It can’t. But that’s not the point. For me, it’s a pause. A chance to reflect on what drives homelessness and what more we can do to prevent it and support those affected. It’s easy to stay focused on business and growth, especially with the pace of electrification. This is a moment to look wider. I’m fortunate to be in the role I’m in, and I want to use it to support something that matters. Sleeping outside, possibly in the rain, isn’t something I’d normally choose. That’s exactly why I’m doing it. A small act to stand alongside a much bigger issue and help drive awareness, funding and longer-term solutions.
