I do not want to spend a cold night sleeping on the beach.
Every time I spend a morning volunteering at the Nambour Family Support Centre I listen to those who have no choice but to either sleep rough EVERY night or sleep restlessly as they fear eviction.
So many of those seeking help are women in their 50s or 60s, many of them are on Disability Pensions and nearly every type of accommodation for them to rent is completely out of their reach.
So, I have reluctantly decided to ditch my CPAP machine, bite the bullet and do something to raise more funds so I can help those who are sleeping out or in fear every night.
