Brisbane and Regional 2026

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference

My first encounter with a homeless person was on the streets of San Francisco in 1995. They were rummaging through a rubbish bin on the side of the road, hands blackened with the grime of living rough. It was quite shocking to a 15yo middle class Australian girl.

It's not a problem I thought would ever become so prevalent in Australia.

Like may Aussies, I've become gravely concerned about the increasing rates of homelessness in our country. So I'm taking action.

This year I'm taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, I'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.

To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating $200 can make a huge difference to people who need it most, but all donations will be gratefully received.

Please help me reach my target of $5,000.
