Participating in their 1st Vinnies CEO Sleepout
One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way.
This year I'm taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. There is a growing number of women aged 55 plus that are homeless and I want to do something to help women in these situations.
This year because of COVID -19 restrictions, we can sleep in our cars, in our backyards or on our lounges. For one night, I'll be sleeping in my car alongside other female CEOs to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating 50 dollars can make a huge difference to people who need it the most.
The sleep out will be held on Thursday 18 June. If you would like to help make a difference to someone not as fortunate as you or me, you can donate to this worthy cause, by following this link: https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/fundraisers/christinelegg/sydney

Congratulations Chris- the issue of women's homelessness is virtually invisible in our community - deep shame results in silence, especially for older women living in poverty and driven to homelessness by a chronic lack of affordable safe housing.
Great cause Chris and good luck.
Great cause Chris, stay warm x
Awesome Chris for highlighting the need to do to change the level of homelessness, shouldn’t have to happen in a rich country like Aust.
Well done Chris! Great cause.
