In Victoria, for every person sleeping on the street, there are another 21 people experiencing homelessness. In London, the mother country, rough sleeping is soaring too. There were over 1,700 more people on the streets in June 2023 than the previous year – a 21% rise.
On Thursday 20 June 2024, I'll be be sleeping outside in Melbourne’s winter to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. Not just in Victoria but everywhere.
But in helping combat our homelessness crisis, I need your support. As little as a morning coffee to what you might spend on a hotel room; even the smallest amount makes a difference.
