Giving up my bed for one night, to make sure fewer people have to.
On the night of 19 June, I’ll be giving up my bed for a sleeping bag on cold concrete — not for the experience, but in solidarity with the thousands of South Australians who face homelessness every night.
I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, not because one night can replicate the hardship, but because it can spark real change. The funds raised support the St Vincent de Paul Society’s frontline services – helping people find safe housing, escape domestic violence, gain employment, and rebuild their lives.
Every donation helps break the cycle. $100 can provide a family with emergency accommodation and essentials to get through a crisis.
