One night isn't a lot, but this one is for my Young People
Those who know me understand my heart for young people in the juvenile justice system. I speak from experience that they all face periods of homelessness at some point in their lives.And much like my teen years, it is not by choice.
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be this way. This year, I am participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. Take it from me: this organisation picks up more than its fair share of supporting this vulnerable community.
For one night, I will be sleeping outside not only to remind me of my humble beginnings but to raise awareness and highlight the realities of homelessness.
