One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Here in the Territory, we pride ourselves on looking after
one another – but the truth is, more and more people are finding themselves
without a safe place to call home.
I’m
Nicole Thompson, Managing Director of Tracks Care and Tracks Integrated
Services. This year, I’m taking part in the Vinnies
CEO Sleepout to raise funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society
and stand in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness.
Homelessness
isn’t always what people think. It’s not a choice – it’s something that can
happen when life takes a turn: illness, job loss, relationship breakdowns. And
in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis, even those working hard can struggle
to make ends meet.
For
one night, I’ll be sleeping outside. It’s only a glimpse into what thousands go
through – but it’s a chance to raise awareness and take real action.
I’d
be grateful for your support.
Every dollar counts. A donation of $100 could help
provide safe shelter, a hot meal, or vital services that give someone the
support they need to rebuild.
Thank you for standing with me – and with those doing it
tough.
