Ever slept outdoors on cardboard for the night?
Hello
I'm acutely aware of the homelessness situation in Darwin (NT), where countrymen find themselves forced to sleep in the 'long grass' because there isn't a safe haven of a comfortable bed and a roof over their head. For those fortunate to have a roof over their head, they are obliged to share their space with homeless family members creating an overcrowded situation. None of these scenarios are OK.
This year I will be joining other CEO's from the NT sleeping out in the elements with a pillow and sleeping bag on a piece of cardboard.
I am proud to be taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support all Australians in need.
