One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. This year I'm taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, I'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
The work the St. Vincent de Paul society does for homelessness and communities is very dear to my heart as my father Sean volunteered with them for 30 years and worked tirelessly to support the families in my hometown in Ireland. I have seen firsthand what the power of kindness and support can do for families in need.
Homelessness is a situation that any of us could find ourselves in under certain circumstances. It's crucial that we do what we can to help break this devastating cycle. Your support would mean the world to me. If everyone I know could contribute $20, or whatever amount they can, we will be able to reach my goal and make a significant difference for those who need it most.
