One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference

Every night, thousands of Australians are without a safe place to call home. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

As someone deeply committed to justice and ensuring that all communities, especially those who are too often excluded, are part of the national conversation, I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepoutthis year. For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside to gain a small glimpse into the reality that so many people face daily, and to raise vital funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society’s work supporting people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and disadvantage.

This issue is not abstract, it affects people from all walks of life, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, women fleeing violence, and young people without a safety net. We all have a role to play in creating a more just and inclusive society.

To help break the cycle of homelessness, I need your support. A donation of $100 can help provide emergency accommodation, food, healthcare, and long-term support to those who need it most.
