Thursday 19th of June, I won’t be sleeping in my bed.

At 31 years old, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to always have a roof over my head — a safe place to call home. It’s something I’ve often taken for granted, without truly realising how privileged that makes me.
Next week, I’ll be giving that up for one night — sleeping out on the grass, in the freezing cold — alongside others across the country as part of the CEO Sleepout. Together, we’re raising awareness and funds to support those facing homelessness and poverty.
This experience will give me just a glimpse of what so many people go through every single night. The difference is, when the sun rises, I get to go home. They don’t.
