One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians face the harsh reality of homelessness. This year, I'm taking part Vinnies CEO Sleepout to make a difference. Ready for some sobering facts? In Southeast Queensland alone, the waitlist for safe housing could fill every seat at the Gabba stadium, with an additional 5,000 people waiting outside. Nationwide, over 122,000 individuals sleep rough every night—that's an absolutely staggering number to me.Â
For one night, I'll be sleeping outside to raise awareness and funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society, supporting those in need. Yep - sleeping under the stars at the Gabba, it will be eye opening and way out of my comfort zone. Will you join me in making a meaningful impact? Your donation can help break the devastating cycle of homelessness by providing crisis accommodation, food, emergency assistance and long-term housing solutions. We can really create impact if we rally together.Â
