One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference

This is my fifth consecutive year participating in the CEO Sleepout.

I am determined to do whatever I can personally, to help Vinnies fight the homeless crisis. Getting behind this fundraising initiative is one thing I can do, and I would appreciate any support.

This event makes a big difference to those in need. Having been involved over the last few years, I have been able to get a deeper understanding of the problem. With over 105,000 homeless people in Australia, the statistics continue to shock me.

Did you know that 60% of the homeless population are under the age of 35? A high proportion are women, who in many cases are forced to leave their homes to get out of abusive relationships - often leaving all their possessions behind to take themselves and their children to a safer environment.

Government funding for many aspects of homeless spending is being cut significantly - which makes this year even more worthwhile and important.

Your kind donations will help many of these women and children find the warmth, safety and dignity that they desperately deserve.

The target for the entire event is over $10 million and my personal goal is $3,000 - so please dig deep and help where you can.

It only takes a moment to make a difference and all donations go that little further to help to give a "Hand UP" to these people who find themselves in less fortunate situations than ourselves. Your support means more to someone that you will ever know.

Thank you.
