Sleeping out so more Australians can sleep in safety
Every night, thousands of people across Australia have no safe place to call home. Many are also living with disability and face extra barriers to finding secure housing and the right supports.Â
On 20 June I will take part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. For one night I will swap my bed for a piece of cardboard and an open sky. It is a small gesture, but it shines a light on an issue we can change together.Â
At Achieve Australia we see the difference inclusive housing and personalised support make every day. I am joining the Sleepout to raise funds for services that offer dignity, stability and hope to people doing it tough.Â
You can help. A donation of $100 can provide immediate, practical support and move someone closer to a safe, permanent home. Thank you for standing with me and with everyone who deserves the security we so often take for granted.Â
