Participating in their 1st Vinnies CEO Sleepout
One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. And the number of women aged 55 and older who are homeless is growing at a faster rate than any other category.
These women are daughters, mothers, friends, wives. Most of them would never have expected to find themselves in such a position. And they shouldn't be.
This year, Marion Mays has inspired me to take part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, as part of the Women Helping Women group, I'll be sleeping outside to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
I'd deeply appreciate your support to help Vinnies help people in need. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating anything from $5 to $50 can make a huge difference to people who need it. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
