Participating in their 10th Vinnies CEO Sleepout
One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness and income insecurity. But it doesn't have to be that way. This year I'm taking part for the 10th time in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need across the ACT region. For one night, I'll be sleeping outside to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
I’m proud to be part of a Government that is serious about tackling homelessness and inequality as part of my day job but am conscious of the critical role that Vinnies plays in our region and beyond to help break the devastating cycle of homelessness.

People without a home have been hit the hardest by the cost of living increases. Looking at the donation chart it seems people were more compassionate during the Covid years or maybe the recent increased living cost hikes are making it difficult for as many people to be kind.
