Participating in their 1st Vinnies CEO Sleepout
My aged body is being put to good use. At last. To raise dosh for Vinnies to help the homeless.
Good grief! I'll be 'sleeping out' on Thursday 20 June, taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need.
'Sleeping out' is a hitherto unfelt of experience for me. If I can rough it for a night, you can pay for the enjoyment of my suffering!
I have a target to reach. And you can make a difference. But it's not only about the cash, it's awareness about the homeless.
Last year, when walking to work, early, I was confronted by a homeless man, who had been stabbed, lying on the footpath under the railway viaduct. That's the short story - for me. For him, the story is longer, and may not end until... the end.
I need your support to help me to reach my target. Donating $100 can make a huge difference to people who need it most.

You amaze me! Absolutely thrilled you are doing this for your streety mates. You are right, a few degrees left and it could be any of us. Ps the dog stays with me.
