Northern Territory 2025

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference

In the past, I’ve slept under the tropical skies of Darwin—at East Point Reserve and the historic Fannie Bay Gaol—as part of the CEO Sleepout, raising funds and awareness for homelessness in the Northern Territory.

This year, from the heat of Darwin to the coldest place on Earth, I’m taking the challenge to a new extreme. Down here in Antarctica, I lead a team of expeditioners and support critical scientific research through the harsh Antarctic winter—a unique and demanding environment, and I’m determined to keep showing my commitment to the CEO Sleepout.

On the night of 19 June, I’ll brave temperatures that could reach -30°C to stand in solidarity with those facing homelessness. The exact way I’ll sleep outside is still being finalised—options range from building an igloo to using an Antarctic-grade tent—but whatever the arrangement, the purpose remains the same.

All funds I raise will go directly back to the Northern Territory, where Vinnies continues to do incredibly important work supporting people who are doing it tough. This is about standing with them, raising awareness, and helping fund the practical support services that change lives.

As a proud Territorian, I’m honoured to support Vinnies NT—even from the icy heart of Antarctica.
