Ready to rough it at the SCG!
On the 23rd of June, I’m joining over 1400 executives across the country to experience for one night what over 105,000 people experience every night.
The latest figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that 105,237 people in Australia are experiencing homelessness, with 60% of those under the age of 35. Perhaps surprising to many people is that 44% of these are women, 13% are under the age of 12.
My work at Argyle to date has shown me through these figures, to the reality of people living in this desperate and soul-destroying situation. Homelessness is unacceptable in a country as rich and prosperous as ours. Business, government and charities must continue to work together to do all we can to reduce it.
If you can, please donate and show your support
> $55 can provide a meal for a family
> $105 can help ensure a family keeps its power on this winter
> $155 provides emergency accommodation for a family in crisis
> $205 could relocate and establish a homeless person into accommodation services
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
