I started as a Deputy Director-General in the ACT Government responsible for Enterprise Canberra on 1 June this year. Prior to that, I was CEO of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority for over four years. I am a life long supporter of Carlton in the AFL, the best game in the world. I was born and bred on a dairy farm in south-east Queensland before going to Queensland Uni and moving to Canberra to pursue my dream of being involved in government. I have moved around a bit and before I became CEO of APVMA, I was Managing Director of Biosecurity Queensland. I am married, with one son. I love movies, particularly trashy action movies, reading and good food and wine.
