Participant Self Assessment
Thank you for your interest in the 2012 Vinnies CEO Sleepout. This experiential event will give you insight into the everyday challenges faced by people who live on the streets, every night of the year.
This is a serious event, and you will be expected to forego your creature comforts for one night.
The following points will help you to self-assess your attendance at the event. There are limited places available so we ask that you give your honest consideration before making a commitment to attend. We will be in a position to optimize the benefits for homeless people by having the most influential leaders present on the night which you can help us to determine by:
- Attending only if you are the legitimate leader or appropriate Senior Executive within your organisation, and that your organisation is of reasonable size and economic output*
- Respectfully refrain from networking for personal or business gain at the event
- Endeavour to reach a target of $5,000 in support of the real benefactors of the event; the homeless
- Not bringing alcohol to the event (this is a dry event and alcohol is strictly off limits)
- Not inviting friends, family or pets to attend with, or visit you at the event
If you comply with the abovementioned conditions - please continue with your registration. We look forward to welcoming you to what will be one of the most powerful and moving nights of your year!
If you cannot meet ALL of the above requirements, there are plenty of other opportunities for you to make a positive contribution to homelessness in Australia. For example you may wish to:
- Influence an appropriate friend, colleague or business associate to attend instead, and sponsor their participation
- Sponsor or partner the event financially or with in-kind support
- Volunteer at one of our homeless services
No matter what your level of support, your commitment is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping us fight this serious issue.
*A reasonably sized organisation employs at least 50 staff. Companies with less staff must have a minimum turnover of $3m per annum. State and Federal Ministers, leaders of community groups and past participants are welcome. If you are unsure of whether you are suitable to participate, please contact your local CEO Sleepout team.
