<p><strong>On Thursday 20 June 2013 the Vinnies CEO Sleepout will be held at the Adelaide Showground, marking the fourth sleepout in South Australia.</strong></p> <p>This event highlights the plight of people experiencing homelessness and asks CEOs and community leaders to <strong>rise to the challenge</strong> and experience what it is like to be homeless for a night in winter. By doing this, CEOs are helping us to raise awareness of the real facts about homelessness in Australia.</p> <p>All money raised from the SA event assists the ongoing provision of Vinnies’ homelessness prevention and support services in South Australia.</p> <p>In South Australia, Vinnies helps those affected by the various stages of homelessness through: the Homeless Persons Accommodation Services, Frederic Ozanam Housing Association, Refugee, Asylum Seeker and Migrant services, Fred’s Van and Home Visitation program.</p> <p>Every night across Australia around 105 000 people sleep rough; nearly half are women and sadly, around thirty percent are children.</p> <p>There are around 8 000 people identified as experiencing homelessness across South Australia. It is believed this is just the tip of the iceberg.
