Wollongong Sleepout

The Illawarra remains an area of high need with a significant number of Vinnies Special Works supporting homelessness and housing issues. Funds raised by the Wollongong chapter of the 2012 Vinnies CEO Sleepout will directly assist Vinnies homeless services in the area, such as the newly established Vinnies Van that has already seen 1,500 visitors in the short time since its inception in November 2011. Vinnies shelters accommodate hundreds of people a night, but there are many more who cannot be assisted due to limited places.
