Brisbane's first Vinnies CEO Sleepout saw 55 CEOs from Queensland sleep out on Thursday 17 June 2010 at Suncorp Piazza, South Bank. The event has raised over $339,000 in Brisbane, with over $2.8 million raised nationally to assist Vinnies range of homeless and housing services. CEOs embraced the experience of being homeless for a night and rose to the challenge of breaking the cycle of homelessness. Brisbane's weather for the evening reached a mild 13ºC, with CEOs enjoying the fresh night air at the Suncorp Piazza. Our 55 CEOs slept rough armed only with a sleeping bag, pillow and cardboard to stave off the coldness from the Piazza's concrete floor. Thank you to all CEOs for participating in Brisbane's inaugural Vinnies CEO Sleepout.
